General Admission Requirements – Centre for Distance and e-Learning (CDeL)
Applications are invited from qualified candidates into the Centre for Distance and e-Learning (CDeL) Bachelor's Degree Programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
Important Notice
Candidates who participated in the UTME examination and scored 150 and above may also be considered for admission, irrespective of their initial choice of institution.
Computer Proficiency Training
All applicants must undergo computer proficiency training and testing as part of the admission process.
- Visit the CDeL Portal: Go to https://portal.cdel.tau.edu.ng/applicant and click on Apply Now.
- Create an Account: Fill in your valid email address and phone number to create an application profile.
- Complete the Online Form: Provide your personal details, academic history, and programme of choice. Upload scanned copies of your credentials (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results, birth certificate, etc.).
- Pay the Application Fee: Make payment securely through the University’s official payment channel (via the portal). Note: TAU does not accept payments into personal or third-party accounts.
- Submit Your Application: Review your information carefully before submission. You will receive an acknowledgment slip via email.
- Check Your Email & Portal: Keep checking your email and the CDeL portal for updates on your admission status and further instructions.

For Undergraduate Nursing Programme (B.NSc.)
- Minimum of 5 credit passes in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings.
- Required subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.
- A pass in the TAU CDeL screening process or any other approved entry assessment.
For Future Undergraduate Programmes (to be added later):
- Five credit passes in relevant subjects for the chosen course of study.
- Meet specific departmental or faculty requirements.
Additional Notes
- Direct Entry applicants must possess relevant A’ Level / OND / NCE / RN qualifications.
- International applicants must provide equivalent academic qualifications and proof of English proficiency.
